Because I Was with You

Did I make the right decision?

Was I actually hearing the Lord’s voice?

If I would have chosen a different direction, would I have went through the mess that I did?

Have I advanced more from the route I took than I would have elsewhere?

Questions similar to these have been going through my mind for the last several months.

Brushing my teeth tonight, the Lord spoke to me.

As my reoccurring thought came through yet again,

“Did I make the right decision?”

His voice answered,

It doesn’t matter, because I was with you.

What a bold thing for someone to say, “it doesn’t matter.”

But in reality, He is completely right. In His confidence at my side, there I find all that encompasses the Christian life: Being with God.

It doesn’t matter where I walked, what I did, or where my feet are leading me if I am with God, because truly, one cannot be with the Almighty and yet, be with the Enemy.

And I think if we took this in, to the deep places of who we are, than we would know that Him being with us, is all that matters and will ever matter.
