I’m Right Here, Right Now.
How competitive is time + distance to our current mode of living?
I’ve found life to be such a fiasco in so many ways simply because I’m living and dreaming.
To live and to believe in dreams is a miraculous thing, it shouldn’t be diminished or overlooked. But how do we keep contentment alive when there are bound to be cooler places and greater times ahead?
Is it to shut off what I hope to accomplish and the internal steps that I am leaping for?
Is it to forget about where I am and consistently look ahead to what can be?
The Holy Spirit is such a good teacher. He takes where we are and He makes it something beautiful. He takes where we want to be and He does a good thing.
And when we avert our steadiness from His heart, we can miss where we are and become a shore consumed with the wave of what’s to come but isn’t absolute.
Within Him, there is a way for us to walk this road out with genuine sincerity and increasing hope.
When His life is our major seal and accreditation, we walk in a prominence that speaks aloud the good things of the present and the good things of where our life is going.
For God is good.
And His goodness isn’t waiting to be expressed futuristically in any way more than presently.
And I’m enamored by the truth in our Father, that He leads us so well, in a specific way where we are able to enjoy every single puddle and flower that is currently surrounding us.
Our feet, right where they are, are meant to embrace the prints that we are making, the solidification that we are pressing into dirt to plant His love, right here, right now.
The beauty in knowing Him currently, where we are, looking out the window into our city onto the streets of anticipation- will surely lead us to a more joyful today that undoubtedly bleeds into tomorrow.
Expectation in Him is a completed work. There’s no fear in where we might not pass through or end up because in the placement of His love, we are captivated, not cursed. It will always be pleasurable to let Him write our story, to let worry slide away and to jump into Old Faithful like it is our best adventure yet.
The Holy Spirit is fully capable of making sure we experience our best life when we sit back in Him.
So grab hold of this current place, let His eyes take over in your Spirit, that you may see the flourishing that is happening even in the crevices of abandonment, simplicity, mundane, and same.
